This is easily the most remarkable documentary I have seen in 2012. It is one journalist, working undercover while the pro-democracy uprising is being born in Behrain. NO OTHER journalist was allowed in the country at the time, so this documentary is vital to our understanding of the ruthless violence the ruling party imposed.
This journalist risked her life, faced down gunfire, was repeatedly threatened and saw people who did dare talk to her end up in prison or worse. AlJezeera smuggled her video out of the country to show the world what Behrain was enduring. It is a work of utter courage.
The video is making its way around the national and international contests and film festivals and will, wihtout a doubt, become one of th emost celebrated video works of the year. Aired on alJezeera.
