Once in a while, when old TV journalists gather, the name Darrell Barton comes up. He was something of a legend among local journalists. He was known for his gritty style, his ability to connect with the regular guy. Here is a collection of some of his 1980’s work. Notice the beautiful transitions, match cut sequences and never a staged moment. The soundbites are nearly always subjective (emotion) and the tracks are nearly always factual (objective.)
